The origin of Barcelo rum dates back to 1929, when Julian Barcelo arrived in the Dominican Republic with the purpose of producing rum that would then go down in history as the best in the world. Just a year later, in 1930, he founded the company Barcelo & Co. At that time, the young Spaniard was only 26 years old, but with many dreams, and in a short time he started the production and marketing of his first rums throughout the country.
