Brew York's 'Maris the Otter' is a 3.9% ABV best bitter that offers a modern twist on a classic English style. This ale is named both for the Maris Otter barley malt integral to its recipe and an otter residing near the brewery's riverside beer garden. 'Maris the Otter' presents a complex flavor profile achieved by blending five different malts with three New World hop varieties.

We brew all our beer in York, some in our original city centre brewhouse, and now a lot of the beer is brewed 10 minutes up the road in our state of the art production facility in Osbaldwick. Our approach to brewing has always been to produce the types of beers which we would love to drink in can, keg and cask. We love to experiment with ingredients and styles and usually have at least 20 different fresh beers available.
