Frederick, Albert and George Franklin founded the company in 1886, after a pioneering journey to the US. Ever the entrepreneurs, the brothers wanted to know what Americans were drinking if it wasn't alcohol. Several years later the recipes were perfected and the brothers launched Lime Sodas, Ginger Beers, Seltzer Waters from their confectionary shop on Rickmansworth High Street.
