The white skull is inspired by the Bolivian tradition of Dia los Muertos celebration. The skulls of loved ones are kept and bought out on November 8th each year. The skulls are carried to the cemetery where they are given cigarettes and tequila believing that it immortalises the dead who protect the living from evil spirits.
