A firm local favourite, Pure Gold is our 3.8% refreshing, crisp, golden ale. Inspired by our noisy farmyard cockerel. Wired up a little differently, he crows at sunset rather than sunrise, signalling the end of another great day brewing. Pure Gold is brewed with finest Pale, Caragold and Caramalt, then hopped with Pilgrim, Bobek, Goldings and Citra hops creating a very refreshing, easy drinking beer with loads of character.

Our founders Paul & Jim went in search of the perfect site for their brewery to start brewing our great beers, one farm stood out with its range of real characters. Amongst the first to make themselves known was a nesting goose that went mad when protecting her territory. Everyone who arrived at the brewery and wandered off amongst the wetland system would end up running back pretty quickly being fervently pursued by this feathered fiend.
