San Miguel is Spain's biggest export beer brand. It was first brewed in the Lleida brewery in Spain in 1957 and is brewed using a special mashing process which gives the beer a fuller and slightly sweeter flavour.

Every journey has a beginning, a point of departure. And here is ours, in Manila, in 1890. Spain's colonial captical in the Philippines. A perfect city for embarking on a journey, full of liberal ideas and crossing point for traders from all over the world. But it didn't have it all: almost nobody knew about beers. So our founders obtained the best ingredients, invited Germany's top master brewer and on the feast day of San Miguel.
